You’ve to consider many features to be able to certify high quality of a certain type of plastic. For example, a molded part must maintain sizes and tolerances as designed by the original project and should not have burrs and sink marks. Than, one must also know and use the right material to the mold that you want to achieve. It’s very important to respect the defined parameters at all stages of the production cycle (closing time and mold cooling time) to prevent deformations. I really like the ABS, a material that requires a lot of attention in the production process but it repays you with an amazing visual quality when chrome plating or painting finishes are applied. Another interesting material is polypropylene, which contrary to ABS, can not be chrome plated, but the presence of fi ber glass in its composition makes it shiny and very durable. However, I prefer the ABS for its distinctive…fragrance.
